Former banker becomes Nurabad District mayor

Makhsud Erkinovich Boronov has been appointed as the mayor of Nurabad district in the Samarkand region. His candidacy was officially approved by deputies on February 26 at an extraordinary session of the Nurabad District Council of People's Deputies.

Before his appointment, Makhsud Boronov served as the head of the Samarkand regional department of Agrobank joint-stock commercial bank. During the session, officials emphasized their commitment to supporting the new mayor in the development of the district and improving the well-being of its residents.

Acting regional governor Adiz Boboyev also addressed the session, discussing the district’s economic potential, recent achievements in various sectors, and existing challenges that need to be addressed.

It is worth noting that on February 25, Golib Ne’matovich Murodov, who previously served as the director of the gas supply branch of "Hududgaz Kashkadaryo," was appointed as the khokim of Muborak district. Additionally, on February 26, Khurshid Nazarov, former head of the Samarkand regional department of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan, was appointed as the khokim of Jamboy district in the Samarkand region. Furthermore, on the same day, the acting governor of the Syrdarya region Erkinjon Turdimov appointed Abror Abduazimovich Khidirov as the deputy governor for agriculture and water management, as well as acting head of the agricultural department.
