Damas vehicle hit an 11-year-old girl in Samarkand

Previously, a video depicting a Damas driver assaulting a school student in the Past Dargom district of Samarkand surfaced on social media. The incident, which occurred on March 31, was captured on surveillance footage. It's reported that the girl underwent amputation of one of her legs due to the accident.

Today, on May 14, the press service of the Regional Road Safety Department provided an update on the situation. They disclosed that the girl, born in 2013, is presently receiving inpatient treatment at the Samarkand branch of the Republican Emergency Medical Research Center.

The press release stated, "In response to this incident, a criminal case has been launched under Part 1 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code, pertaining to the breach of safety regulations concerning vehicle movement or usage. Investigations are currently underway.”
