As part of ongoing inspections in the Samarkand region to detect illegal use of natural and liquefied gas, authorities prevented the theft of over one ton of liquefied gas. The incident was reported by the joint-stock company "Hududgaztaminot."
According to the company, compliance control units of the "Hududgaz Samarkand" gas supply branch conducted an investigation into violations of liquefied gas distribution in the Ishtikhan district. The probe revealed that plumber T.A. and special vehicle driver M.D., responsible for delivering liquefied gas to households in the "Bahrin" neighborhood of Ishtikhan district, were instead unloading 53 household gas cylinders into an illegally constructed "bunker" located at the home of E.J., a resident of the "Pastki Boybota" neighborhood in Akdarya district.
As a result of the operation, the illegal diversion of more than one ton of liquefied gas was stopped, and the fuel was redirected to its intended consumers. A formal case report was filed, and all relevant documents have been handed over to law enforcement authorities for further investigation.
It is worth noting that a previous case in the Fergana district of Fergana region involved the illegal use of gas valued at 4.193 billion soums by a gas filling compressor station.
