Earthquake strikes in Samarkand Region

On October 5, a 3.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Samarkand region, according to the Republican Center for Seismoprognostic Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The earthquake occurred at 23:07 local time, with its epicenter located in the Payariq district of Samarkand. The coordinates were 40.31 degrees north latitude and 66.84 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was 226 kilometers southwest of Tashkent.
It is also worth recalling that a 3.6-magnitude earthquake hit Tashkent on September 9.
