New prosecutor appointed for Samarkand city

Bakhtiyor Normatov has been appointed as the new prosecutor of Samarkand city, according to the press service of the Samarkand city administration.

On May 22, a meeting was held between regional prosecutor Murodkosim Eshnazarov and Samarkand city governor Fazliddin Umarov. The discussion focused on ongoing efforts to prevent crime, ensure legal compliance, and address law enforcement issues in the city.

During the meeting, Prosecutor Eshnazarov introduced Judicial Advisor Bakhtiyor Ismatullaevich Normatov, who will now serve as Samarkand city prosecutor. He replaces Boburmirzo Oblakulov, who held the post for many years and has been transferred to another position.

Prior to this appointment, Bakhtiyor Normatov served as the prosecutor of Narpay district.

It is also worth noting that, in a separate appointment, Senior Advisor to the Prosecutor General, Otabek Akbarovich Kholboev, was recently named Deputy Prosecutor General and Military Prosecutor of the Republic of Uzbekistan by presidential decree.
