Former Interior Ministry employee linked to 'Salimboyvachcha' arrested

Former Interior Ministry employee Jalil Atambayev, suspected of financing the activities of the organized criminal group led by Salim Abduvaliyev—widely known as "Salimboyvachcha"—has been arrested. This was reported by 24.kg.
Atambayev was initially arrested in August 2024. He had held several leadership positions, including serving as head of the transport department at Osh International Airport. In pursuit of expanding his business, Atambayev established ties with Salim Abduvaliyev, who was previously wanted by Kyrgyz special services, and allegedly financed the Uzbek organized criminal group. Around the same time, former Jogorku Kenesh deputy Salaidin Aidarov was also arrested.
In December 2024, a precautionary measure was imposed on Atambayev, and he was released on parole. However, investigators later found that he had repeatedly violated the terms of his release by failing to appear when summoned and neglecting his procedural obligations.
Due to these violations, the Oktyabr District Court of Bishkek ordered the reinstatement of his arrest. He has since been placed in Institution No. 21 under the jurisdiction of the Migration Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
It should be recalled that the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan had previously interviewed a resident of Suzak district—a former deputy of the local citizens' assembly—over suspected ties to the same organized group. The individual, born in 1984, was given a preventive warning and was required to renounce the ideology of the criminal organization. A photo of him with Salim Abduvaliyev, the alleged Uzbek criminal authority, had earlier circulated on social media.
