With the cooperation of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan and the representative office of the Migration Agency, practical assistance was provided to a mother and her minor child facing a difficult situation in Irkutsk, Russia, to return to Uzbekistan, the “Dunyo” news agency reported.

At the mother’s request, tickets were purchased for her and her child on the Irkutsk–Tashkent flight within the framework of the “Return to Homeland” project, taking place in Uzbekistan between July 30 and August 30.

They returned to Uzbekistan on an Uzbekistan Airways flight on August 15 this year.

It is worth noting that on the occasion of “Combating Human Trafficking Worldwide” on July 30 this year, a charity event titled “Return to Homeland” is being held in Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Employment, the Migration Agency, the Committee for Family and Women, and law enforcement agencies. Within the framework of this initiative, efforts are being made to repatriate Uzbek citizens who are in difficult situations abroad and to ensure their effective reintegration.

Priority is being given to the repatriation of women and children held in deportation centers in Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, and the United States.

Earlier, three Uzbek citizens stranded in Novosibirsk, Russia, were repatriated to their homeland as part of the “Return to Homeland” campaign.
