An Uzbek citizen who sustained serious injuries in a traffic accident in Tatarstan, Russia, has been sent back to Uzbekistan, according to a report by "Dunyo" news agency.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan reported that on September 1, a traffic accident involving Uzbek citizens occurred on the Aznakaevo-Almetevsk highway in the Republic of Tatarstan. As a result, T.J., a citizen of Uzbekistan, was seriously injured and was immediately admitted to the Almetevsk Inter-District Multi-Network Hospital.

"The patient's mother reached out to the Consulate General, requesting financial assistance to transport her son back to Uzbekistan. Uzbek diplomats provided comprehensive consular, legal, and practical support to the injured Uzbek citizens. This included coordinating with medical staff and other agencies, while closely monitoring the situation. Additionally, the necessary documents for T.J.'s return were prepared by the Consulate staff," the report detailed.

As a result, on September 26, T.J. and his mother were provided tickets for the Kazan-Tashkent flight and were safely returned to Uzbekistan.

As a reminder, a similar case occurred earlier when another Uzbek boy stranded in Russia was repatriated.
