28-year-old Uzbek citizen hits a pedestrian in Russia

A 28-year-old Uzbek man struck and killed a pedestrian with his car in the Leningrad region of Russia. The incident was reported by "Kommersant."

The accident occurred during the night of October 11 on the 1st kilometer of the "Mini-Novinka" highway. The Uzbek driver, operating a Chevrolet Cruze, hit a 50-year-old man who was outside the designated pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian, dressed in dark clothing without reflective elements, died at the scene due to his injuries.

Authorities have confirmed that the victim did not have a permanent residence. According to the driver, the pedestrian was in the middle of the roadway and was not visible from a distance before the accident. An ongoing investigation is being conducted to clarify all details of the incident.

It was previously reported that another Uzbek citizen, who was seriously injured in a car accident in Russia, was sent back to Uzbekistan for treatment. According to the Consulate General in Kazan, on September 1, a traffic accident involving Uzbek citizens occurred on the Aznakaevo-Almetevsk highway in the Republic of Tatarstan. As a result, Uzbek citizen T.J. was severely injured and was immediately hospitalized at the Almetevsk Interdistrict Multidisciplinary Hospital.
