Uzbekistan ranked 2nd in the ranking of the number of students studying in Russia. This is confirmed by information from the Russian Embassy in Uzbekistan.

It is noted that about 49,000 Uzbeks are currently studying in Russian higher education institutions.

The first place in the number of students studying in Russia was taken by Kazakhstan - about 61 thousand students, the third - China - 32.6 thousand students, the fourth - Turkmenistan - 30.6 thousand students, and the fifth - Tajikistan - 23.1 thousand students.

The Top 5 specialties, most in demand by Uzbek students in Russian higher educational institutions, include medical care, economics, program engineering, international relations, and dentistry.
