7094The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, will visit Uzbekistan on an official trip. This was announced by Oleg Malginov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan, in an interview with "Izvestia" newspaper.
"An important upcoming event will be the visit of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to the Republic of Uzbekistan and the meeting of the joint commission at the level of the heads of government. We are currently preparing for this event," said Malginov.
The ambassador added that there are ongoing interactions between the heads of various sectors, ministries, and agencies of Russia and Uzbekistan, with frequent exchanges of visits.
He noted that during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Uzbekistan at the end of May, the leaders of the two countries signed over 20 significant documents, opened new areas of cooperation, and set new goals for the implementation of agreed projects.
"There are constant contacts between the heads of specific sectors, ministries, and agencies, and our Presidents are in frequent communication," said the diplomat.
Malginov indicated that contacts are planned through multilateral events, including the meeting of CIS leaders, and possibly during a meeting of BRICS member states in the Russian Federation, as well as through other channels. He also noted the very active telephone communication between the leaders of Russia and Uzbekistan.
It is worth noting that in September last year, the 4th meeting of the Joint Commission at the level of heads of government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation was held in Moscow.
