Razambek Jamalov, originally from Dagestan and representing Uzbekistan, competed against Daichi Takatani from Japan in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Jamalov defeated the Japanese athlete and was crowned Olympic champion.
In the semi-finals, Jamalov triumphed over Victor Rassadin of Tajikistan with a score of 8:2, securing his place in the final.
As a result, the number of medals for the Uzbekistan delegation in the tournament reached 10—6 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze.
