In 2019, the charges against him were reportedly dropped, the search was lifted, and he returned to Uzbekistan. According to reports, the criminal cases against him were reviewed and he was acquitted.

Videos circulating on social media have alleged that Mukhitdinov had financial disputes with his uncle Gafur Rakhimov, which reportedly escalated into physical confrontations.

Some media outlets and experts claim that he has connections with influential figures in the CIS region. However, in interviews, Ravshan Mukhitdinov has denied these allegations, stating that he is simply a businessman.
