The Uzbekistan-Syria match in the first round of the U-20 Asian Football Championship has ended. The match was settled 2:0 in favor of the home team. After the meeting, the head coach of the Uzbekistan youth team, Ravshan Haydarov, shared his thoughts.
“We knew the game would be difficult and we were ready for it. Syria is also a good team. They played a tight game. I think the result was fair. We need to work on converting final situations into goals. We struggled to finish attacks. I think the reason for this is excessive enthusiasm. We were happy that we scored a goal from the standards. The guys felt the pressure. It is natural at this age. We are getting stronger from game to game. Preparations for the next match against Iraq begin now.
“Nothing has been resolved with this victory,” Haydarov said.
Currently, the national teams of Uzbekistan and Iraq are the leaders in Group “A” with 3 points.
