Official Tashkent condemns the explosion in the mosque in Afghanistan

The official Tashkent condemned the explosion that occurred on 2 September in the mosque of the city of Guzara in the province of Herat in the west of Afghanistan during Friday prayers. This was stated in a report issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

“We strongly condemn the terrorist act committed during Friday prayers on 2 September 2022, at the “Guzargokh” Mosque in the city of Herat, Afghanistan, in which many civilians were killed and injured.

Such heinous acts escalate the situation in Afghanistan and impede the establishment of long-term and stable peace and national harmony in the country.
“We express our condolences to the members of the family and relatives of the victims and wish the injured a fast recovery.”, - the report said.
