Officially! The president signs a decision on “car tinting”

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree to reduce the cost of changing the color of car windows.  The president made this statement today, 28 June, at a video-conference.

"Every reform, every proposal, and every initiative is for human dignity.

Therefore, the question of “What benefits will please our people?” should be on the minds of all leaders every day, every minute.

Every time I visit the places, I meet ordinary people, I hear about their problems, I think about how many more of our people have such problems, and I look for solutions.

I am also aware of the issues raised in the media and social networks.

Today, the number of cars in our country has exceeded 3.5 million.  There are a lot of complaints from our drivers.

That is why today, I signed a long-awaited decision that will exhilarate drivers and passengers,” said the president.

The public has not yet been informed of this decision.  The head of state did not specify the content of the decision and the cost of "tinting".

According to a source familiar with the text of the decision,
• rear and windshield tinting - 15 times the basic calculation amount (BCA) (4.5 million soms);

• tinting of rear side windows - set at 1 BCA (300 thousand sums).

In addition, it is planned to remove the prices for "tinting" the rear side windows of cars from 1 July.
