A case has been initiated against "Shaffof Cement Industry" LLC for engaging in manipulative practices, as reported by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.

The Fergana Regional Administration's monitoring revealed that from January to December 2023 and January to July 2024, the company sold 20,645 tons of cement in 298 instances through direct contracts without offering them on the stock market.

Additionally, a price comparison between the days of sale in 2023-2024 and the average exchange prices showed a significant markup in 298 cases, resulting in a total price discrepancy of 669 million sums.

According to Regulation No. 170 approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, selling highly liquid or monopoly products through direct contracts is considered manipulation.

Based on this, the Special Commission of the Fergana Region Territorial Administration has initiated a case against "Shaffof Cement Industry" LLC for violating Article 29 of the "Competition" Law.

It should be noted that previously, the Competition Committee imposed a financial fine on "Hamkorbank" ATB for violating advertising legislation.
