3088An International Center for Digital Technologies was established in Uzbekistan through the adoption of the Presidential Decree "On the initial measures to establish the International Center of Digital Technologies" on February 1.
The decree led to the establishment of the International Digital Technology Center, known as ENTERPRISE UZBEKISTAN.
Starting from June 1, 2024, for a period of 5 years, the Center will implement a unique legal regime for foreign companies as part of an experimental initiative.
During this experimental period, special legal provisions will be applied within the Center's jurisdiction, covering areas such as a "regulatory sandbox" for testing innovations, services, and business products in digital technologies, as well as customs, taxation, labor relations, finance, banking, personal data processing and protection, public services provision, intellectual property protection, and resolution of commercial and civil disputes.
The Ministry of Digital Technologies is designated as the competent authority responsible for implementing this special legal regime.
