Rahmatullah Saifuddinov returned to imam

Rahmatullah Domla Saifuddinov, who worked as the chief imam of Tashkent city until January 2022 and voluntarily left the post due to health problems, returned to imam again.  This was reported by a QALAMPIR.UZ source.

It was reported that Saifuddinov will continue his work as the imam of the “Minor” mosque.  Abdukahhor Yunusov, the chief imam of Tashkent, who works as an imam in this mosque, was appointed as an imam in the “Sheikh Zayniddin” (Kokcha) mosque.  The office of Muslims in Tashkent has also been moved to the “Sheikh Zayniddin” mosque.

The appointment order was issued yesterday, 15 March.

At the beginning of January of this year, Rahmatullah Domla Saifuddinov was released from the post of chief imam of Tashkent city according to his application.  The imam of the “Abu Sakhi” mosque, Domla Abdukahhar Yunusov, was appointed acting chief imam of the city.  In the same month, Saifuddinov went to Germany via Dubai for treatment.

For information, Rahmatullah Domla Saifuddinov was born on 18 May 1975 in Muzrabot district of Surkhandarya region.  After graduating from high school (1992-1995), he studied at the Mir Arab madrasa in Bukhara.  From 1995-1997, during his student days, he served as an imam at the “Aq Tunikali” mosque in the Sheikhontohur district of Tashkent.

Between 2001-2003, he taught at the Tashkent Islamic Institute named after Imam Bukhari.  In 2003, he participated in the 19th International Qur’an Competition held in Iran.

During his career, he worked as an imam in the “Khoja Alambardar” and “Minor” mosques in Tashkent, and before his new appointment, he worked in the positions of the chief imam of the Yunusabad district and the imam of the “Mirza Yusuf” mosque in the Yunusabad district.
