The president meets with the chairman of “China Energy”

Today, on October 18, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with the Chairman of "China Energy Engineering Corporation," Sun Khailian, as part of the activities on the second day of his visit to China. This information was reported by the press service of the head of state.

China Energy, a leading Chinese corporation with extensive experience in the design and construction of modern energy, infrastructure, and industrial facilities, is implementing large investment projects in many countries worldwide. The company's assets are valued at over $150 billion.

During the meeting, it was noted with pleasure that the company actively participates in the technological modernization of Uzbekistan's energy industry.

"China Energy" is working on projects for the construction of solar and wind power plants in Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions, as well as a thermal power plant in Syrdarya region. The company also intends to participate in the construction of a hybrid power plant in the Navoi region. Moreover, in September of this year, modern capacities for cement production were put into operation in the Samarkand region.

The prospects of partnership with China Energy were discussed, including the modernization of infrastructure facilities, the organization of energy storage systems, and the training of qualified specialists within the framework of the energy network development program until 2030.

Special attention was paid to cooperation in water management and the implementation of joint projects in various branches of industry. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the preparation of a comprehensive program for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of "China CAMC Engineering" company, Van Bo, in Beijing. Additionally, yesterday, on October 17, the President of Uzbekistan met with the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vo Van Txiong, as part of his practical visit to China.
