On September 18, as part of his official visit to the USA, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan met with a group of Uzbeks residing and working in the United States. He also engaged with scholars from the "El-Yurt Umid" Foundation who are pursuing their studies at leading higher education institutions in the country. This information was reported by the press service of the head of state.

During the event, which took the form of an open and lively dialogue, President Shavkat Mirziyoev discussed the development strategy of New Uzbekistan and highlighted the significant potential of the Uzbek community in contributing to the modernization of the republic.

It was emphasized that Uzbeks in the USA, along with their unifying organizations, are making substantial contributions to the development of Uzbekistan-USA cooperation, which has reached an unprecedented level.

Furthermore, during the meeting, the head of state proposed several initiatives aimed at strengthening relations with Uzbeks in the United States and supporting the activities of their public associations. One notable initiative is the widespread support for the organization of Uzbek language courses abroad and the development of special tourism service packages to encourage Uzbeks to visit the historical cities of the republic.

President Mirziyoyev stated, "Each of our compatriots should experience the positive impact of the reforms we are implementing in education, healthcare, and the economy in their daily lives. We must create the necessary conditions for highly qualified specialists like you, who have studied abroad and gained valuable experience, to return to our country and contribute their full potential to the building of New Uzbekistan. Today, I am pleased to witness a strong sense of patriotism and a desire to contribute to the homeland's development in every Uzbek here. We waitt for you in the homeland."

Participants in the meeting noted that the fundamental and extensive reforms introduced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev are further enhancing the prosperity of Uzbekistan and elevating its prestige on the international stage.

"Compatriots working in prominent companies and pursuing their education at prestigious higher education institutions expressed their thoughts and recommendations. Various aspects of public life and the economy were discussed. In heartfelt gratitude for the significant attention, our compatriots expressed their readiness to make a meaningful contribution to the development of Uzbekistan," the message concludes.
