President appoints 9 new senators to the Senate of Uzbekistan

9373Today, November 16, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree appointing nine members to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to a statement released by the President's press service.
The decree names the following individuals as new members of the Senate:
- Azamat Hamid ugli Ziyo – Director of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Munojatkhan Abduvalievna Yolchieva – Professor at the Uzbek National Music Art Institute named after Yunus Rajabi;
- Abdusaid Ko'chimovich Ko'chimov – General Director of the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan;
- Qudratilla Mirsagatovich Rafikov – Chairman of the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan;
- Mir-Akbar Khoji-Akbarovich Rakhmonkulov – Director of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Sadiq Solikhovich Safoev – First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Alisher Zafar ugli Sadullaev – Director of the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- Sadiqjon Turdiev – Chairman of the Board of the "Nuroniy" Foundation for Supporting the Social Activities of Uzbekistan’s Veterans;
- Tursinkhan Aydarovich Khudayberganov – Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
These appointments underscore the President’s focus on diverse representation in the Senate, drawing leaders from various academic, cultural, and governmental institutions to contribute to the legislative development of Uzbekistan.
