The Strategic Reforms Agency is established under the President's Office

In accordance with the relevant decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been established on the basis of the Agency for Strategic Development.

The main tasks of the agency are to develop proposals for the reform of individual sectors and areas, their organization, and control with the involvement of local and foreign specialists.

It is noted that the Director General of the agency and his deputies are appointed by the president.

The agency also has the task of critically analyzing the reforms and assessing their effectiveness, identifying systemic problems that create conditions for formalism, censorship, and corruption, and taking measures to eliminate them.

In addition, a board from the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan was formed under the personal chairmanship of Shavkat Mirziyoyev.  The council was given a number of powers.
