A train attendant has been sentenced to two years of correctional labor for collusion on a passenger train operating on the “Olot–Tashkent” route. QALAMPIR.UZ reviewed the official court document on the case.
According to the document, D.H., employed as a train attendant by “Uztemiryulyolovchi” JSC, was on duty in the 7th carriage of passenger train No. 071 on February 21 of this year. That evening, at approximately 20:15, passengers B.U. and G.U. boarded the train at the “Korakul” railway station with tickets for the 11th carriage.
However, D.H. intentionally placed the pair in the 2nd compartment of the 7th carriage instead, taking 300,000 soums from B.U. as payment. In doing so, he facilitated an environment for B.U. and G.U. to engage in sexual relations, effectively becoming an accomplice in the act for material gain.
The incident was uncovered by the criminal investigation group of the Navoi region’s Department of Transport Security, and the 300,000 soums were seized as material evidence in the presence of witnesses.
On April 15, the Kyzyltepa District Court for Criminal Cases heard the case. D.H. fully admitted his guilt. The court found him guilty under Part 1 of Article 131 of the Criminal Code (Accidental prostitution or keeping a brothel). As part of the verdict, he was banned from holding official and financially responsible positions within the Uzbekistan Railways system for 1 year and 6 months.
Additionally, D.H. was sentenced to 2 years of correctional labor with a 20 percent monthly salary deduction to be paid to the state.
It should be noted that earlier, in the Shafirkan district of the Bukhara region, a security guard organized a brothel in a school gym locker room for 60,000 soums. He was sentenced to one year of restricted freedom for his actions.
