Pakistani Prime Minister to visit Uzbekistan on February 25-26

On February 25-26, at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Presidential Press Service.
The agenda of the talks includes discussions on further developing and expanding the Uzbek-Pakistani strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation.
Key topics will include joint initiatives to increase mutual trade volume, strengthen transport connectivity, and enhance transit potential. Additionally, the leaders will explore cooperation opportunities in industries such as light and leather manufacturing, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and electrical engineering.
The visit will also focus on intensifying cultural, humanitarian, and tourism exchanges. Both sides are expected to exchange views on pressing international and regional issues.
"A Joint Declaration and several bilateral agreements are set to be signed at the conclusion of the summit", the report stated.
As part of the visit’s business program, the leaders will also take part in the Uzbek-Pakistani joint business forum to promote economic collaboration.
For reference, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was expected to visit both Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. He is currently in Azerbaijan on an official visit.
We would like to remind you that on February 17, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a closed-door meeting with the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mish’al al-Sabah, at Al-Bayan Palace in Kuwait City. Following the talks, the President invited the Emir to visit Uzbekistan.
