8 institutes and 2 universities were established in the field of pedagogy

Eight institutes and two universities have been established in Uzbekistan in the field of pedagogy.  This is stated in the presidential decision "On measures to improve the quality of pedagogical education and further develop the activities of higher education institutions that train teachers."

According to the decision, the following higher institution establishments have been organized:

• Urgench State Pedagogical Institute under Urgench State University on the basis of bachelor's and master’s specialties in the field of pedagogical education;

• Namangan State Pedagogical Institute on the basis of bachelor's and master’s specialties in the field of pedagogical education under Namangan State University;

• Gulistan State Pedagogical Institute on the basis of bachelor's and master’s specialties in the field of pedagogical education under Gulistan State University;

• Uzbekistan-Finland Pedagogical Institute on the basis of the Uzbekistan-Finland Pedagogical Institute of Samarkand State University;

• Andijan State Pedagogical Institute on the basis of the Pedagogical Institute of Andijan State University;

• Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute on the basis of Bukhara State University’s Pedagogical Institute;

• Termez State Pedagogical Institute on the basis of the Pedagogical Institute of Termez State University;

• Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute on the basis of the Pedagogical Institute of Karshi State University;

• Chirchik State Pedagogical University on the basis of Chirchik State Pedagogical Institute;

• Jizzakh State Pedagogical University on the basis of Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute.
