Pashinyan congratulates Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Today, on July 12, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported by the Presidential Press Service.

It is reported that during the dialogue, the issues of bilateral relations were discussed, primarily focusing on trade, economics, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Pashinyan also congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the head of the Armenian government, on his convincing victory in the presidential election and wished him great success and happiness.

During the interview, he emphasized the importance of holding the first meeting of the intergovernmental commission and organizing joint business events to promote practical cooperation projects.

We remind you that on July 9 of this year, an extraordinary presidential election was held in Uzbekistan. According to the results, Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev from the Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan was elected President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a 7-year term with 87.05 percent of the votes.
