Pakhtakor welcomes Pedro Moreira as a new coach

Pakhtakor, the prominent Tashkent football club, has appointed renowned Portuguese coach Pedro Moreira as its new head coach. The news was confirmed by QALAMPIR.UZ.
Pedro Moreira, born in Mozambique, will take over the reins from Maxim Shatskikh, a former Pakhtakor player who managed the team this past season.
The 49-year-old Moreira brings significant experience to the role. He began his coaching career in 2009 as head coach of the youth team at Sporting, a leading Portuguese club. His career trajectory includes working as an assistant coach for top-tier teams such as Porto and Braga in Portugal, Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine, and Roma in Italy.
