Honorary Consulate of Uzbekistan was opened in Ganja, Azerbaijan

The official opening ceremony of the first honorary consulate of Uzbekistan in this country was held in Ganja, one of the ancient cities of Azerbaijan, as reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.


Attended by Niyazi Bayramov, the head of the Ganja city executive authority, heads of the Turkish and Georgian consulates in Ganja, representatives of the business community, science, active Uzbeks, and local media, the ceremony marked the establishment of the honorary consulate.


Kyanan Jalilov was appointed as the first honorary consul of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan.
Recall that on December 11 of last year, the Embassy of Uzbekistan was opened in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Additionally, on April 19 of this year, during the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan, a ceremonial opening of the new embassy building in Dushanbe was held.
