Category of preferential admission to higher education increases by one

A military-patriotic movement of children and adolescents «Vatan Tayanchi» (Homeland pier) has been established in Uzbekistan. The decision of Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev «On the organization of the military-patriotic movement of children and adolescents «Vatan Tayanchi» was adopted.

According to the decision, the military-patriotic movement of children and adolescents «Vatan Tayanchi» under the Ministry of Defense has been established. Deputy Head of the Educational and Ideological Affairs Department in the Defense Directorates of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the regions and the city of Tashkent, and Deputy Head of the Educational and Ideological Affairs Department in the District (City) posts have also been introduced.

«Vatan Tayanchi» is a State military-patriotic movement of children and adolescents, and the Deputy Minister of Defense on educational and ideological work coordinates the function of the organization.

According to the decision, under the supervision of the Science teacher in the school of Initial preparation until the military call, units «Vatan Tayanchi» will be formed from pupils of 10th-11th grades (20 people). Students can enter the units voluntarily.

From the academic year 2022/2023, one member of the «Vatan Tayanchi» detachment, who actively participated in the «Vatan Tayanchi» movement and graduated with distinction, will be admitted to the higher military educational institution in accordance with the selection procedure established by the Ministry of Defense.

The recipients of the recommendation will receive the privilege of an additional score of 5 per cent of the points obtained in the entrance exams to the higher military educational establishments of the Republic.

The recommendations are valid for three years from the date of issue.
