Another important match is ahead of us – Umarali Rahmonaliyev

On 15 March of this year, the semi-finals of the U-20 Asian Football Championship were held.  At this stage, the host team of Uzbekistan competed with the representatives of South Korea, won the penalty shootout and went to the final stage of the tournament.  After the debate, Umarali Rahmonaliyev, captain of the U-20 team of Uzbekistan, shared his thoughts.

“I congratulate the entire Uzbek people on this victory.  Another important game is ahead of us.  We will use all our strength to win the final.  I would like to express my gratitude to the fans who supported us during the entire match,” said Rahmonaliyev.

Also, Rahmonaliyev said that before the match, he studied the opponent’s style carefully with the members of the team.

“Before the match, we studied the games of the South Korean team.  We played according to the tasks given by our coaches.  I think we deserved to win in terms of the game.  In the penalty series, our faces lit up in front of our fans.  I hope that luck will be on our side in the final as well,” added the captain of the team.

The final match of the U-20 Asian Championship will be held on 18 March.  In the decisive competition, representatives of Uzbekistan will compete with their Iraqi peers.  The game will start at 19:00 p.m.
