Victims of family violence are included in the needy category of the population

In Uzbekistan, victims of family violence are now included in the needy category of the population. Amendments and additions have been made to the law "On Employment of the Population," signed by the President.

It is noted that unnecessary documents will no longer be required from citizens applying to local labor authorities. Changes and additions are being introduced to ensure that individuals looking for work will not have to submit redundant documents to labor authorities. Additionally, the mechanism for providing subsidies to stimulate employment and promote entrepreneurship will be improved.

Furthermore, the conditions for the monthly electronic submission of information on available job vacancies and the release of employees from work by employers to local labor bodies are being established.

Additionally, the names of the Ministry of Poverty Reduction and Employment and the Ministry of Economy and Finance are being clarified, and persons affected by family (domestic) violence are now included in the socially needy category of the population.

The law will enter into force from the date of its official announcement.
