Norov held negotiations with Kyrgyzstan on the border issue

Today 3 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubayev on the border issue.  This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

It is noted that they discussed prospects for the development of Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan relations, their expansion and deepening in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian, and other spheres, and exchanged views on regional and international issues.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties signed the following documents:

•    Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan on certain sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border;
•    Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the joint management of water resources of the Campirabad reservoir;
•    Agreement on cooperation on water management issues between the Water Management Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Water Management of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
•    Memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic and the "Ozarkhiv" agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
•    Cooperation Agreement between the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Institute of Central Asia;
•    Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries for 2023-2024.
•    Also, a joint statement was adopted by the foreign ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Later, Vladimir Norov also met with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadir Japarov.
