Subsidies will be provided for those who employ people with disabilities

Employers who hire people with disabilities will receive a subsidy of 1.5 times the basic rate for per employee (405,000 som).  This was stated in the enactment of the decision of the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On the procedure of granting subsidies to employers who employ people with disabilities at the expense of the State Employment Fund».

According to the enactment, after hiring a person with a disability, the employer applies to the district (city) employment promotion center with the necessary documents.
The district (urban) employment center reviews the documents within three working days and, on the basis of the results of the investigation, decides on the allocation of a subsidy (or refusal to allocate).

If approval is submitted, the subsidy will be paid to the employer for each month of the following month (6 months). At the end of each month, the actual employment of persons with disabilities will be monitored.

According to the decision, subsidies will not be provided to budget organizations, state-owned enterprises, and legal entities with a state share of 50 percent or more in the charter capital that employ people with disabilities.
