More than 10 persons suspected of extorting drug dealers were arrested

Videos showing the beating and physical injuries of drug dealers by unknown persons were circulated on social networks. The Chief Internal Affairs Department of the Tashkent region commented on the situation.
It is noted that on 22 January this year in Qibray district, those persons who were engaged in the distribution of narcotic substances by receiving an order through one of the social networks, were beaten and injured by unknown persons, and this situation was filmed.
More than ten people born between 1997-2003 were detained as suspects during the operation conducted by the Department of Internal Affairs in connection with this situation.
A preventive measure of “imprisonment” was applied against them, and a criminal case was opened and investigation activities were started.
According to the preliminary investigation, the suspects took part in several such incidents for money and sent footage of beatings to the customer through social networks.
“Information on the situation will be filled in and detailed information will be provided,” the report says.
