Prices increased and about 5.4 billion soums worth of income pharmacies were identified

4551In several regions, pharmacies have illegally increased the prices of medicines. This was reported by the Competition Development and Consumer Protection Committee.
It is noted that the Committee investigated the pricing practices of business entities engaged in the wholesale and retail sale of medicines and identified several violations.
The investigation revealed that there were 473 pharmacy-related offenses (133 wholesale and 340 retail) detected by the Committee. As a result of the investigation, 49,455 cases were examined, and measures were taken to rectify the situation in favor of consumers and restore their rights.
Specifically, the unjustified pricing was found in the following regions:
- Tashkent Region: 118 pharmacies were involved in 1,838 cases, totaling 39 million soums.
- Tashkent City: 72 pharmacies were involved in 7,266 cases, totaling 7.2 million soums.
- Jizzakh Region: 7 pharmacies were involved in 7,005 cases, totaling 743.7 million soums.
- Namangan Region: 44 pharmacies were involved in 7,544 cases, totaling 14 billion soums.
- Navoi Region: 32 pharmacies were involved in 1,492 cases, totaling 134.9 million soums.
- Republic of Karakalpakstan: 30 pharmacies were involved in 1,391 cases, totaling 71.8 million soums.
- Syrdarya Region: 24 pharmacies were involved in 1,587 cases, totaling 158 million soums.
- Fergana Region: 39 pharmacies were involved in 539 cases, totaling 539 million soums.
- Andijan Region: 20 pharmacies were involved in 6,352 cases, totaling 312.8 million soums.
- Bukhara Region: 17 pharmacies were involved in 1,766 cases, totaling 71.8 million soums.
- Kashkadarya Region: 18 pharmacies were involved in 1,188 cases, totaling 18.8 million soums.
- Samarkand Region: 2 pharmacies were involved in 30 cases, totaling 36.6 million soums.
- Surkhandarya Region: 7 pharmacies were involved in 1,048 cases, totaling 914 million soums.
- Khorezm Region: 5 pharmacies were involved in 119 cases, totaling 11 million soums.
