2 people died as a result of an explosion at a shop in Namangan

Yesterday, 15 February, an explosion occurred in the steam generator (autoclave) of the iron foundry located in Namangan district due to an increase in steam pressure. This was reported by Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As a result of the explosion, 1 employee working in the shop was injured, 2 others died on the spot.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case was initiated under Article 257, Part 2, Clause “a” of the Criminal Code (violation of labor protection regulations).
“Investigative efforts are being carried out by the investigative unit of the Namangan District Internal Affairs Department,” the report says.
It should be recalled that on 5 January of this year, a fire broke out in the workshop of the enterprise in the Bektemir district of Tashkent city.
