In Namangan, the chairman of the "Gaiston" mahalla in the Yangikurgan district was seen in a video circulating on social networks insulting citizens with vulgar language on the street and sending a video message via Telegram. To clarify the situation, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the Yangikurgan district administration.

It was reported that a working group was formed in cooperation with representatives of relevant organizations to investigate the actions of the mahalla chairman. Representatives from the regional administration, the district branch of the Mahalla Association, the district branch of the "Nuroniylar" Public Council, and mahalla activists participated in the investigation.

During the discussion, participants emphasized that a mahalla chairman must uphold standards of etiquette and morality in his work, particularly in communication with citizens. They stressed that regardless of the chairman’s past contributions, his rude behavior and inappropriate conduct towards citizens were inexcusable.

In his speech, the chairman expressed regret, stating that he was mentally exhausted and, in some situations, lost control of his behavior. He also announced that he would not run in the upcoming mahalla chairman election scheduled for May 2 and formally apologized to the citizens.

Currently, the district's Internal Affairs Department is conducting an investigation into other matters raised in the critical social media post.
