Insulting district governor dismissed in Namangan

Jobir Sharifovich Abdullayev, who had been serving as the governor of Yangi Namangan district in Namangan region, has been dismissed from his post. Adham Jakbaraliyevich Qoraboyev has been appointed as the new district governor in his place. The regional administration’s press service reported this.

According to the report, an extraordinary session of the Yangi Namangan District Council of People’s Deputies was held today, December 29, during which organizational matters were considered.

At the session, Namangan Region Governor Shavkatzhon Abdurazzoqov delivered a report on the agenda item. The regional leader reviewed the work carried out in Yangi Namangan district in recent years and the achievements made, while also pointing to untapped potential. He outlined pressing tasks aimed at ensuring that people are satisfied with their present living conditions.

During the session, deputies approved the decision of the Namangan region governor to dismiss Jobir Sharifovich Abdullayev from the post of Yangi Namangan district governor and to terminate his deputy mandate ahead of schedule.

In addition, the regional governor’s decision to appoint Adham Jakbaraliyevich Qoraboyev as the governor of Yangi Namangan district was unanimously approved.

It is worth recalling that in 2022, an audio recording circulated on social media in which then–Yangi Namangan district governor Jobir Abdullayev was heard insulting an entrepreneur. At the time, the governor received a reprimand. However, the reasons for his dismissal today have not been made public.
