2703Appropriate measures have been taken against "Namangan Water Supply" JSC for violations of the law in state procurement. This was reported by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.
The Namangan Region Office of the Competition Committee conducted research and analysis of state purchases made by JSC "Namangan Water Supply" in 2023-2024.
Specifically, according to the order of the Namangan Regional Prosecutor's Office, public procurement was conducted for a total of 167 lots with an initial value of approximately 4.9 billion soums during 2023 and up to June 16, 2024, under the direction of "Namangan Water Supply" JSC.
The investigation revealed that the joint-stock company did not comply with the requirements of the "Competition" law in these state purchases.
Furthermore, it was found that related (affiliated) companies were declared winners in competitive bidding for 36 lots with a starting price of 846.1 million soums by the customer.
The information compiled by the regional administration regarding the violation of the "Competition" law in state procurements by the ordering organization (Namangan Water Supply JSC) was submitted to the law enforcement authorities.
An administrative report has also been filed to impose a fine on the officials of JSC "Namangan Water Supply," and the information has been sent to the relevant judicial body.
It is worth noting that earlier it was discovered that 2 cotton textile clusters in the Kashkadarya region had received more than 3 billion soums in unjustified income.
