In Namangan, a person who introduced himself as an employee of the State Security Service was caught accepting a bribe. This was reported by the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan.

The person who introduced himself as an employee of the State Security Service was caught accepting a bribe of 5 thousand dollars from a local citizen during a quick event held by the State Security Service in the Davlatabad district of the Namangan region.

In return for the bribe, he promised to change the imposed sentence of 5 years imprisonment to a lighter type of punishment.

It is noted that the fake employee had been convicted several times for crimes related to fraud.

A criminal case has been initiated in connection with this situation and an investigation is underway.
