The Family and Women's Department responded to a situation that 17-year-old girl was seen searching for a husband on the street.

A video circulating on social networks showed a girl wandering the city streets holding a "Husband Wanted" advertisement. The Family and Women's Department responded to this situation.

It was confirmed that the video depicts the actions of a minor, D.R., born in 2007, residing in the "Navbahor" neighborhood, Davlatabad district, Namangan region. The video was recorded by employees of a beauty salon in New Namangan district to attract more customers and subscribers to their channel.

In response to the incident, representatives of the relevant agencies are preparing official documents, and an investigation is underway.

"It's important to note that the circumstances depicted in this video raised valid concerns among the public, as it disregarded societal norms and involved the use of a minor for various purposes, manipulating and misleading public opinion. The Family and Women's Committee emphasizes the importance of respecting societal norms," the statement reads.

It's worth noting that similar incidents have occurred in Uzbekistan previously. For instance, Maryam Tillyaeva, the granddaughter of the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, known as "Mashatilly," posted a video on her Instagram page expressing her need for a husband.
