The President of Mongolia is visiting Uzbekistan

The President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, will be visiting Uzbekistan on a state visit from June 23-26, at the invitation of Uzbekistan's President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This information was released by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

The visit's program includes high-level talks in Tashkent, focusing on enhancing and strengthening the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Mongolia.

Reports indicate that the agenda will cover the development of a constructive political dialogue and inter-parliamentary relations, boosting bilateral trade, and implementing cooperation projects in sectors such as mining, agriculture, animal husbandry, light industry, healthcare, transport, and logistics. A series of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents are expected to be adopted following the summit.

Additionally, President Khurelsukh will visit Khiva to explore Uzbekistan's rich cultural and historical heritage.

For reference, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh previously visited Samarkand in September 2022 for the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
