In Russia's Tambov region, police arrested a man suspected of killing a 29-year-old woman on Sevastopol Avenue, southwest of Moscow.  Irina Volk, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, informed TASS about this today, 18 November.

"In the Tambov region, police officers arrested a person suspected of killing a woman in the southwest of Moscow.  "The arrested person will be brought to Moscow in the next few days," he said.

The suspect's car was stopped by road patrol officers in the Jerdevsky district of the Tambov region.  His accomplice, who helped him escape, was also arrested.

On the morning of 18 November, the body of a 29-year-old woman who worked in a grocery store was found near a residential building on Sevastopol Avenue.  Based on this, a criminal case was initiated under Article 105, Part 1 ("Murder") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.  A day ago, she contacted the police saying that a young man was stalking her and that she was afraid to go out.  Police officers went to the applicant's workplace and received instructions from her.

According to the media, the prosecutor's office has control over the investigation process.  The name of the suspect is Shahrukhbek Karimov.  He left Uzbekistan in 2018 and was recently living in Moscow without a permit.  He worked in the same shop as the murdered woman.
