A Boeing 787-8 flight HY-602 on the route "Moscow-Tashkent" failed to land at the Tashkent airport and made an emergency landing at the reserve airport Navoi. This was reported by the "Novosti Tashkentskogo Neba" Telegram channel.

According to information, a very strong wind shear over the capital prevented the airliner from landing at the airport. The difference of 8 m/s in the shear strength of different cloud streams in the upper layers, caused problems for the safe landing of the plane.

In the aviation guidelines, wind shear events above 6 m/s are described in the "extreme" group.
