Mirziyoyev ends his official visit to China

The program of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the People’s Republic of China concluded today, September 3, the Presidential press service reported.

On August 31 of this year, the Head of State, along with his spouse, participated in the informal events of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, held at the "Meijiang" congress center in Tianjin.

The leader of Uzbekistan attended the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the “SCO Plus” format session on September 1, where he presented several initiatives aimed at further strengthening multilateral cooperation and enhancing the organization’s activities.

The official talks were held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, on September 2, with the participation of official delegations. Following the meeting, a substantial package of bilateral documents on priority areas of practical cooperation was signed.

In addition, the President met with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to discuss pressing issues of bilateral cooperation.

The Head of State also held productive meetings with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, heads of foreign delegations, and representatives of the business community.

The President of Uzbekistan took part in the Victory parade in Beijing, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II today, September 3.

Following the conclusion of the visit’s program, the Head of State departed for Tashkent. Chinese officials saw off the distinguished guest.
