According to the reports by the Presidential Press Service, a phone conversation took place on the 2nd of May between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Turkey Rajab Tayyip Erdogan. During the call, matters relating to issues of further expansion of comprehensive strategic partnership relations, and the promotion of priority projects of practical cooperation were discussed.
The leader of Turkey expressed his sincere congratulations to Mirziyoyev on the success of the national referendum on the constitutional reforms and wished the brotherly people of Uzbekistan peace and prosperity.
Their conversation reinforced the importance of the prompt implementation of priority investment projects in Uzbekistan with the participation of leading Turkish companies.
Also discussed were the preparation issues for the next meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council.
At the end of the dialogue, the leader of Uzbekistan wished the leader of Turkey success in the upcoming presidential election in the middle of May this year.
