Mirziyoyev, Japarov, and Rahmon to sign agreement on border demarcation

Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan are set to sign an agreement on the demarcation of their state borders. This was announced today, March 13, by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in a joint statement following his meeting with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Bishkek.  

"Along with signing the agreement on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border today, we have agreed with esteemed Sadyr Nurgudjoevich to finalize an agreement on the demarcation of state borders between the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the near future," said Emomali Rahmon.  

According to him, the document is expected to be signed on March 31 in the city of Khujand.

Earlier, during talks between Sadyr Japarov and Emomali Rahmon, it was announced that the leaders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan would celebrate Nawruz together in Khujand on March 31.  

It should be recalled that Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baysalov previously announced that the first trilateral summit involving the Presidents of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan would take place in Khujand on March 31.  

According to Baysalov, the leaders will discuss key areas of cooperation aimed at ensuring security, stability, and prosperity in Central Asia.
