Mirziyoyev receives the head of the New Development Bank

On October 23, during the BRICS summit, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Dilma Rousseff, President of the New Development Bank. The President's press service reported the meeting.

The discussions focused on establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with this prestigious multilateral financial institution.

Key areas of potential partnership were identified, including education and technological development, support for the social sector, modernization of industry, infrastructure and logistics, digitization, energy, and utility networks.

It was agreed to form a joint expert group to prepare concrete cooperation projects.

It is noteworthy that Mirziyoyev arrived in Kazan today to participate in the BRICS summit, where Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also in attendance.

From October 22-24, the sixteenth BRICS summit is being held in Kazan under Russia’s chairmanship, with representatives from over 30 countries expected to attend. Earlier, Mirziyoyev also met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the summit.
