Mirziyoyev departs for official visit to Hungary

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Hungary on May 19 for an official visit at the invitation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. The presidential press service reported the departure.

The visit will feature high-level talks in Budapest, as well as meetings with senior Hungarian officials and executives from leading companies.

The agenda includes discussions on strengthening practical cooperation and advancing the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Hungary.

President Mirziyoyev is also scheduled to participate in the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States on May 21.

According to earlier reports, President Mirziyoyev will pay official visits to both Hungary and the Republic of Slovenia from May 19 to 22. On May 22, he will meet with Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar in Ljubljana, hold talks with parliamentary and government leaders, and attend joint business events.
